Our friends at the Learning Games Network (for more on them see earlier post) partnered with processor-maker AMD on a video contest which challenges students (ages 13+) to create 2- to 3-minute long videos on either an "Aha" moment where they connected gaming and learning OR a great idea for a game for learning. Judging will be organized across three age groups: Middle School, High School, and Post-Secondary. Each first place winner will receive a 16 inch HP Pavilion dv6 series notebook (powered by an AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-84), and additional "People’s Choice” winners will receive a new iPod Shuffle®. All winners will be announced at the Games+Learning+Society Conference 5.0 in Madison, Wisconsin, 10-12 June 2009.
